gem HIV/AIDS Initiative
gem HIV/AIDS Initiative (gHAI) is a community enhancement and support initiative of gem Publications, established for the purpose of improving the quality of living of the less privileged in the society, especially women and children, providing them with physical, financial, mental and spiritual succour, such that they gain renewed hope for living, are empowered to the independent, and ultimately, positive contribution to the society.
WHO WE HELP
“When families have to struggle to feed their children, picking which meal the children can have is a Must and most times Breakfast is cut out. School supplies, is usually also not top on their list. Feeding the children breakfast three times a week helps and supplying the children with school uniforms, school sandals and school supplies helps to ease the burden on a lot of families. This goes a long way in ensuring academic excellence for a lot of children.
Students
When families can barely afford rent and groceries, school supplies just can’t be a priority. For these students struggling with extreme poverty, we can offer school supplies. We serve children at schools where at least 70% of students are from extremely poor families.
Teachers
On average, teachers lack resources to use to help engage the children, we plan to have Teacher Supply Boxes where teachers can go to obtain free school supplies. This will cover the most essential school supplies — from notebooks and markers to pens.

OUR LEADERSHIP
GHAI is guided by a board of directors. They work with our founder and CEO Bolanle Olawale to ensure that we effectively reach out in Love by bringing hope to the children in Lagos State, Nigeria.
